Pride is celebrated throughout the county by many different organizations, partners, companies, groups and allies. During the month of the July, there are many different events to support your community.

The following events are hosted by our many partners and friends. We encourage you to take a look at what events may interest you and show your PRIDE!

latinxSan Diego Latino/Latina/Latinx Memorial for Orlando – Somos Una Gente

Mental Health AmericaGrieving Post-Orlando: Join Us for an Evening of Sharing Art, Connection and Reflection
When: Tuesday, July 12th at 6PM – 8PM
Where: Mental Health America of San Diego County, 4069 30th St, San Diego, CA 92104
Cost: Admission is free

Community members are encouraged to participate by bringing expressions of healing art: poetry, photos, paintings and songs. If you wish to share your artistic response to the recent tragedy, contact: [email protected] Art is a powerful healing force. Let’s gather together to honor the victims and their families, acknowledge our loss and consequent grief, and share abundant support.

birdcageThe Birdcage – 20th Anniversary

FilmOut San Diego is showing “The Birdcage,” director Mike Nichols’ hilarious remake of La Cage Aux Folles. Armand Goldman (Robin Williams) owns a popular drag nightclub in South Miami Beach. Community Housing Works and the San Diego LGBT Community Center invite you to join us in celebrating the groundbreaking of 76 affordable apartments in North Park. Open to all seniors, this development is a collaboration with the San Diego LGBT Community Center to provide an affirming and supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender seniors.

What to bring: Comfortable shoes. Each tour is about 2.5 miles and takes 2 to 2.5 hours.

PRIDE SHABBATPride Shabbat: Where Everyone Can Feel Proud with Congregation Dor Hadash
When: Friday, July 15th at 6PM
Where: Playa Pacifica Park in Mission Bay Park, San Diego, CA 92109

Mission Bay Drive. Drive west towards the bay. Turn left (south) on East Mission Bay Drive. Drive 0.2 miles and turn right into parking lot. We will be near the blue-roofed gazebo. (The Hilton Hotel is south of our gathering.)  Lost? Call Patti Nussbaum at 858-349-9043.

Join us as we joyfully welcome children and adults of all ages to our pride-filled Shabbat service. Rabbi Yael Ridberg and Song Leader Marshall Voit will lead this inclusive and musical Kabbalat Shabbat experience celebrating the Jewish LGBTQ community, friends and family.

What to bring: Dinner for yourself, a dessert item to share, lawn chair or blanket.

Please join the organizers of San Diego Trans Pride for their third annual event on Friday which is free and open to all! This event will be interpreted in American Sign Language and is wheelchair accessible. Food and BBQ will be served from 1:30PM to 5:30PM with an open mic session from 5:30 to 6:30PM.
