Judi first joined the board of directors in 1991. She was eager and excited to be a part of an LGBT organization that supported, educated, and advocated for each of us to be our authentic selves. Judi served on the board from 1991 to 2000 holding the position of co-chair for 8 of those years. She served as President of the Consolidated Association of Prides Inc. (CAPI) for a year and represented San Diego LGBT Pride at three InterPrides including the International InterPride in Scotland in 1999. She was named Champion of Pride in 2001 and inducted into the Archives in 2009. In 2010, Judi was asked to be a part of the re-organization of the San Diego LGBT Pride. With a great sense of loyalty and commitment to Pride, she served as co-chair from 2010-2012. Judi has also spent three years on the National Family Pride Coalition (now the Family Equality Council), where she two of those years as co-chair. She continues to lend her experience to San Diego Pride as an emeritus.
