Jennifer Restle advocates and educates on issues of disability and bisexuality, which sprang from personal experience and began long before she knew the words to describe any of it. Active in the bi+ community, she has facilitated the Bisexual Forum, started the first bi+-oriented discussion group at The Center and been invited to the White House. To challenge society’s notions about disability, Jen uses workshops, presentations, her voice in spaces where disability is often overlooked and even random street corners and bus stops. At San Diego Pride, Jen found a place where she could finally be both a person with a disability and bisexual simultaneously. She divides her time between Pride’s Accessibility Team, Disability Rights California’s Board of Directors, her blog – “People Aren’t Broken: Disability from the Inside Out” – and baking the perfect gluten-free muffin.
