Sara is ecstatic to join Pride as the Accounting & Office Coordinator, or as she lovingly shortens it to AOC, as she works hand in hand with all staff and members of the community assisting in both accounting and facilities needs.
Born and raised in California, Sara grew up in Sacramento and earned a B.A. from UCLA. She comes from a background working in IT during her undergraduate career where she learned not only the ins and outs of office culture, but has also taken leadership in a male-dominated field, using her position as an opportunity to meet and work with individuals from all different backgrounds. Sara also volunteers as a ViTA tax preparer during the tax season providing free tax preparation services to low income individuals in the San Diego county and was recognized by the IRS as an outstanding volunteer for her contributions to the program. She would love to continue working within the realm of finance and accounting specifically within nonprofit organizations.
In her spare time, Sara likes walking in nature, tending to her tropical house plants, playing video games, practicing her Muay Thai skills, and both eating and cooking food.
