Tyler DeLong (They/Them/Theirs) serves at the Marketing & Communications Manager for San Diego Pride, fostering quick, seamless communication, paired with multi-media content creation to facilitate smooth transitions to production, to the press, and to the public.
They moved to San Diego in 2021 from Los Angeles, CA. They moved to Southern California to pursue a career in multi-level communication and content creation and have since worked with a variety of organizations including scripted and non-scripted television, independent films, tech start-ups and nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations.
Throughout their career, they’ve made positive waves for underrepresented individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community and encouraged growth for minority representation and accessibility. At Washington State University, they wrote, produced, and edited multiple PBS documentaries about mental health in the collegiate community; an LGBTQIA+ inclusion pamphlet with Queer representation resources for campus; and several editorials in their collegiate newspaper on the struggles for queer representation in rural Washington State. As a Communications Manager at Young Entertainment Activists, they hosted an eight-person panel featuring queer & trans actors and entertainment professionals to an audience of more than 5000 queer folx.
