Dave Mathisen is thrilled to join the Pride family as the Operations Manager, where he leads the organization’s accounting, finance, human resources, IT, and facilities departments.
Originally from the east coast, Dave earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, concentrating in Marketing and International Business. Dave comes to Pride with a wide range of experiences under his belt; from recruiting to teaching to property management; however, he’s spent the last 5 years supporting operations at The AjA Project – a San-Diego-based nonprofit organization that teaches photography to refugee and underserved youth as a tool for examining their identity and advocating for change. During his time there Dave led the organization through significant growth, doubling its size in just under 3 years. He’s excited to be able to once again combine his skill set and knack for efficiency with his passion for supporting underserved communities.
When he has the chance to take off his many hats at work, you’ll likely find Dave working on one of his hobbies, like photography or building furniture.
