MEDIA CREDENTIAL POLICY

Working Media
Members of the working media must obtain an official San Diego Pride Press Credential.

Press Credential Requests
Please complete an application for PRESS CREDENTIAL below by Friday, July 17, 2026 at 5 PM Pacific.
NOTE: San Diego Pride weekend inquiries made after the deadline  should be sent to Joslyn Hatfield, Director of Marketing Communications, [email protected], 619-587-4914.  Submissions after the deadline may not be confirmed.

Press Credential Pick-Up – San Diego Pride Festival
Approved Press Credentials must be picked up at Volunteer Village at the San Diego Pride Media Tent at the 6th & Juniper Entrance.

Press Credential Pick-Up – San Diego Parade
Press covering the San Diego Pride Parade on Saturday, July 18 may check in with Joslyn Hatfield beginning at 4:30 AM at the Media Coverage Station located at 10th Avenue & University Avenue for credential pick-up and broadcast setup.

Credential Pick-Up Requirements

  • To receive your approved media credential, you must:
  • Present a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport).
  • Provide proof of your media assignment if requested (such as an assignment letter from your editor or producer on organizational letterhead).
  • Pick up your credential in person. Media credentials are issued only to the approved applicant and may not be picked up by another individual.

    All media & press credentials remain the property of San Diego Pride and must be worn visibly while covering Pride events. Credentials are non-transferable and may be revoked if misused or if San Diego Pride’s media policies are violated.

Entertainment Artist Media Credential Requests
Official photographers, videographers, or other media representatives working directly on behalf of a performing artist must obtain an Media Credential.

  • Credential Requests
    Email [email protected] no later than July 15 to request an Artist Media Credential.
  • Credential Pick-Up
    Approved Artist Media Credentials must be picked up during Artist Check-In.

Applications for press credentials will be reviewed upon receipt of the form below. Completion of the form does NOT guarantee credentials. After a determination has been made, applicants will receive an email with the decision.

 

If you are granted press passes, you will receive additional instructions and a media kit. If you are not, the application fee is honored as a festival weekend pass and you will receive tickets via email.
