Qualcomm
At Qualcomm, we are dedicated to enabling a world where everyone and everything can be intelligently connected. We recognize that connectivity should not be discriminatory or exclusive, which is why we are deeply committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all individuals, including the LGBTQ+ community. Just as we drive advancements in intelligent computing through our R&D efforts, we also invest in STEM talent, universities, startups, government initiatives, and collaboration with our licensees worldwide to promote growth and prosperity for all.
To support our commitment, we make charitable contributions to national and local non-profit organizations advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and providing essential services. We offer scholarships designed to remove barriers and create academic opportunities for LGBTQ+ students. Together with our partners, we advocate for diversity in patenting and support policies and programs to foster inclusivity in patent-heavy STEM fields. Our President & CEO serves on the USPTO’s Council for Inclusive Innovation (CI2), which aims to develop a national strategy for increased participation of underrepresented groups in innovation.
Within our company, our employee network group, eQuality, has supported LGBTQ+ employees for 30 years. This network provides a platform for networking, support, and advocacy. We actively participate in events like Out & Equal, sharing insights on recognizing and overcoming microaggressions.
