The San Diego Women’s Chorus invites the community to our winter concert, “Hope for the Holidays,” on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Lincoln High School. This uplifting event, led by Artistic Director Kathleen Hansen, offers a message of hope, love, and unity at a time when many feel the strain of division in society.

The concert will feature a diverse selection of winter and holiday songs, highlighting the work of female and minority composers such as Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Joan Szymko, and more. Audiences will experience a range of musical styles, from traditional Scots, Gaelic, and British songs to a pop holiday hit, a medieval Spanish carol, and Tchaikovsky’s “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.”

Artistic Director Kathleen Hansen emphasized the importance of music as a unifying force. “This year has been full of ups and downs, and we want to offer the community a sense of unity and hope as we enter the winter season,” she said.

Tickets are $25 in advance, with discounts available for youth, seniors, military personnel, and disabled guests. SDWC invites all to enjoy this heartwarming and inspiring holiday concert, filled with peace, resilience, and togetherness.
