Champion of Pride: An individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the LGBTQ community over an extended period of years with consideration to service to San Diego Pride.
Jackie Han
Jackie is a San Diego–based artist, photographer, and community organizer dedicated to uplifting LGBTQIA+ creatives and expanding access to inclusive artistic spaces. She first became involved with San Diego Pride as a volunteer photographer before joining the Art of Pride Committee, where she quickly rose to become Co-Chair through her leadership and commitment to community-centered programming. In this role, she has helped expand Art of Pride through initiatives such as installation art and career-building workshops that create meaningful opportunities for artists to connect with the public and grow professionally. Jackie also serves on the San Diego City College Photography Advisory Board, advocating for student engagement and inclusive learning environments. She holds a Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts and an MFA in Policy, Education, and Management from the University of Maastricht. As a Taiwanese-American, Jackie’s work is rooted in building supportive, community-driven spaces where historically underrepresented artists can thrive.
