Erik has volunteered with San Diego Pride since 2019, working as a parade coordinator and attending leadership meetings. He and his family are strong advocates and supporters of the LGBTQ community. In addition to his role as a volunteer, Erik works as a technology marketing executive, helping leading brand and communications for innovative software companies. Earlier in his career, Erik worked as a business reporter for The San Diego Union-Tribune. Erik was raised in the Bay Area, and graduated from San Diego State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and a minor in political science. On the weekends, Erik enjoys jogging, mountain biking, and spending time with family and friends.
