About:

Frida is a first generation trans-chicana, composer, and DJ born and raised in Chula Vista. As an artist, she’s captivated audiences at major events like San Francisco Pride and Folsom Street Fair, alongside countless venues across the Bay Area and Southern California. Renowned as the “Best DJ in the Bay” (2020 & 2021, SF Guardian), she’s also known for producing vibrant parties with T4T Worldwide and her own party, Home Base. In addition to her DJ sets, Frida composes music for filmmakers, content creators, and performance artists within the LGBTQ and DIY communities.

Frida’s time in San Francisco fostered a dynamic community of artists, educators, and activists, equipping her with the experience and knowledge to drive impactful change in the arts and entertainment industry. Her roles as Community Health Outreach Worker for the San Francisco Unified School District and Program Manager at the Lavender Youth Recreation Information Center (LYRIC) built a strong foundation in administrative work and crucial Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access practices, fueled by her deep passion for decolonization and social justice activism.

Currently, Frida is pursuing a Master’s in Music Industry Administration at Cal State Northridge, further honing her industry expertise and tools. She’s also a resident DJ for San Diego’s Particle.fm radio collective.
