About: Kay (she/they) has a PhD in Experimental Social Psychology, focusing on social identities, social justice, bias, and EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion). She currently works at San Diego State University as an Equity Analyst in the Center for Inclusive Excellence and as an Assistant Data Processor for Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM).
At Pride, Kay is a member of the Disabled LGBTQ+ Coalition, where she helps with developing and presenting disability justice and equity workshops, coordinates group volunteering, and is involved with the group’s advocacy and social events coordinating. Kay is also a She Fest volunteer coordinator and Parade and Festival Accessibility volunteer.
