Linda Glevy
Pronouns: she/her/they
About:
Linda was born and raised in San Diego and is very happy to call it home. She has worked with nonprofit organizations and volunteers in a variety of settings, including most recently at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and International Rescue Committee. Their work has been transformed and motivated by their learnings about Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion throughout their career. She is excited to apply those learnings as the Accessibility Coordinator at San Diego Pride!
Linda believes everyone should be able to access and feel that they belong to any community that they identify as a part of, and recognizes that there are many barriers to achieving this vision. One place she has found community for herself is within She Fest, a LGBTQ+ volunteer committee that centers the diverse experiences of LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people, and welcomes all who find community amongst these identities. They are currently the Hospitality Director of She Fest, and they strive to provide the welcoming and accessible atmosphere that they were greeted with when they first began.
Linda is excited to expand her involvement and work in the LGBTQIA+ community, and meet all of Pride’s amazing volunteers, staff, and community members! In their free time, you will most likely find them at a fun queer event, a local coffee shop, a thrift or record store, trying a new hobby, or exploring all the amazing places San Diego and California has to offer.
