Oleene Perera currents leads corporate partner activation for San Diego Wave FC, San Diego’s professional women’s soccer team debuting in 2022. After an early career in television and retail print marketing, she pivoted to the sports industry with stints at the International Motor Sports Association – a division of NASCAR, and the United States Olympic and Paralympic Properties during the Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games cycles.
She earned her BA in Media and Cultural Studies with a minor in Theater from the University of California, Riverside, and her MBA with a Sports Business specialization from the University of Oregon.
Sitting at the intersection of several minority groups and claiming both English and American nationalities, she deeply values what makes humanity diverse. In her free time, she can be found reading Poe, traveling, watching auto races or spending time with her rescued Pitbull, Enzo.
