I want to share a note of gratitude and confidence with our community, reflecting on my first month as your new Executive Director. What has stood out to me most is the steadiness of San Diego Pride team. In a season of massive change, our staff and board have remained focused, collaborative, and deeply committed to the mission and the movement at large. The care that goes into this work is visible and tangible every day.
I have also been inspired by the dedication of our volunteers, sponsors, partners, and community members. The more of you that I meet, the more I see that San Diego Pride is powered by people who believe collective commitment is where our power lives and grows. We go further TOGETHER.
The focus for the month ahead is clear. We are executing our inaugural Fabric of Pride fashion show on March 28 and diligently preparing to enter Pride season with excellence. We are strengthening systems and deepening partnerships that support our mission.
While change can be hard, transitions are opportunities to recommit to purpose. They invite clarity and call forward leadership at every level. What I see inside San Diego Pride is a group of professionals and community leaders who care deeply about getting this right. I do too.
I am proud to serve alongside this team and proud to serve this community. The work ahead is meaningful, and the foundation beneath us is strong. Thank you for your belief in what Pride makes possible. Sincerely,
KishaLynn Elliott Executive Director, San Diego Pride
